Ingredients:
Ingredients:
˝ lb ground liver
3 tbsp onions
parsley
garlic
1 tbsp flour
to taste salt
to taste pepper
1-2 eggs, beaten
bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
To the raw ground liver add fried onions (in one versions she mentions to fry the onions, in the other she does not), minced garlic, flour, salt and pepper and parsley. Add egg and mix well. Next, start adding bread crumbs until mixture is fairly thick. Let stand in fridge for one hour.

When ready to cook the dumplings, have boiling water ready to dip spoon in to make the dumplings and place dumplings in another pot of boiling water to cook. Simmer slowly until fluffy and tender - about one hour.

Personal Notes:
Because Evelyn could make these with her eye’s closed, there are only suggested measurements or quantities. She in fact had this recipe written out twice and there were subtle variations which have been incorporated here.
