9x13 baking dish, buttered

3 Tablespoons butter

3 Tablespoons flour

2 cups milk or half n half

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Dashes of salt and pepper

1 Tablespoon sugar

A pinch of marjoram

2 cans of vacuum packed corn

2 eggs, slightly beaten

Bread crumbs to sprinkle on top

Pre-heat oven to 350º

Melt butter in a pan and blend in flour. Continue over medium heat, gradually blending in milk and stir in until thickens.

Add cheese, salt, pepper, sugar and marjoram. Stir in corn and slightly beaten eggs.

Pour into buttered dish and sprinkle top with bread crumbs and dot with butter

Bake at 350º for 35 to 45 minutes until set (not runny) in the middle
