1 gallon then sliced cucumbers
2 tablespoons alum
4 tablespoons non-iodized salt
2 tablespoons pickling spice
4 cups apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Let cucumbers stand in this solution for 3 weeks. Turn jar upside down every day. Pour off vinegar solution and drain well. Rinse in cool water. Drain and put pickles in gallon jar. Add 6 cups of sugar turned them for the next several hours until sugar dissolves. Leave in gallon jar and refrigerate, or place in court jars seal.
