1 lb. Jimmy Dean Sausage ( Hot)
2 1/2 Cups Sharp cheddar Cheese,shredded
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
3 Cups self-rising Flour
3/4 cup Crisco shortening (Butter Flavored)
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon sugar or stevia
2 cups buttermilk or sweet

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.Cook sausage and drain.In a large bowl, add flour,baking powder,garlic and sugar..Mix well with whisk..Add shortening and cut in with a fork or potato masher.. Add milk and mix..Add sausage and cheese. Spoon into a greased black skillet with a tablespoon .Sprinkle olive oil or melted butter on top,pat down with spoon..Bake about 30 minutes or until tops are browned!
