3 Ruby Red Grapefruit, plus 4 grapefruit slices
or
A bottle of ruby red grapefruit juice with 1 grapefruit for garnish (Choose one of these options)
6 oz. Vodka, chilled
Simple Syrup
Sugar


Simple Syrup Recipe:

1 Cup of Water
1 Cup of Sugar

Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring the water just to a boil and boil it until the sugar dissolves, but the mixture does not get any color. Remove from the heat and let it cool. Store in the refrigerator for a month.

Juice the grapefruits and pour the juice into 4 glasses.

Add 1 1/2 oz. of vodka to each glass.

Add simple syrup to sweeten the drink to taste.

Stir well.

Dip the grapefruit slices in sugar to coat.

Place 1 slice on the rim of each martini glass as a garnish.
