4 links mild Italian sausage
4 links hot Italian sausage
1 med onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 tsp Italian herb seasoning
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 15oz can kidney beans (drained)
cup dry red wine
salt, pepper, garlic salt, crushed red pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Remove casing and crumble sausages into a sauce pan.
2. Cook, stirring until brown, add onion and cook until onion begins to brown.
3. Spoon/drain off some of sausage drippings.
4. Add garlic, peppers, Italian seasoning, other spices, as desired, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth and
kidney beans. Personal preference (more or less broth and tomato sauce).
5. Bring to a bubble, cover and reduce heat, simmer 30 minutes.
6. Add wine and cook uncovered 3 minutes, salt to taste.
7. Serve with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
8. Serve over rice, if desired, and a glass of wine.
