3 tablespoons butter
1 ¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk, scalded
1 package yeast
¼ cup lukewarm water
1 egg, beaten
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk( heat milk until a skin forms on top). Then add butter, salt and sugar to milk, and let cool. Add yeast to ¼ cup lukewarm water. Then add yeast and egg to remaining ingredients. Blend in flour and knead, let rise till doubled. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick and cut into circles. Let rise until doubled, then sprinkle with cornmeal and cook on hot griddle. Turning once.
