Barbecued Water Chestnuts Recipe

1 lb. bacon, cut in half - DO NOT USE THICK CUT BACON
2 cans whole waterchestnuts


Sauce:

1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup ketchup
1 dash Worcestershire
grated onion

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the sauce ingredients in saucepan and simmer while the bacon and water chestnuts are baking.

Wrap water chestnuts with 1/2 strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Place on a broiling pan so fat will drip off and bake at 325 degrees until bacon is slightly done, about 45 minutes. Drain off bacon grease.

Dip each waterchestnut in the sauce and place back in the broiler pan. Bake for 20 to 25 more minutes.
