1 or ¾ cup sugar
2 heaping tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix together.
3 or 4 dabs of butter on top of apples and sugar mixture. Round the apples in pan but don't heap.

Double Crust
3 cups flour
1¼ cups crisco
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Beat 1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg
½ cup water
Mix together with pastry blender.
Roll out into crusts. Put a few slits in top crust and wet bottom crust with a touch of water before placing the top crust.

Makes 3 double crusts pies. I use Haroldson apples. Bake about 1 hour until golden brown.
To freeze wrap in tin foil and place in zip lock bag. When ready to use, take pie from zip lock and place in 300 oven for about 1 hour. Take out when warm.
