2 c. butter
2 c. cane sugar
2 c. dark brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla
4 c. flour,
5 c. or 1 boxy quaker quick oats turned to powder in the cuisinart or blender
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. baking soda
3 c. walnuts I grind up adn add with the flour mixtuer above, you can delete
24 oz. Ghiradrdelli semi-sweet choclate chips
grated or cusisnart 4 oz bar of ghiradelli chocoalte (bar don't skip this)

Cream together the butter sugar and brown sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Mix flour Quaker quick oats salt baking powder baking soda together add walnuts chocolate chips and grated chocolate. Make goofball size or smaller, place 1-2 inches apart on un greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 min at 375º F let cool in sheet a few min before moving to cookies racks for cooling or they'll fall apart. They should be soft, that makes them chewy!
Note: You can freeze and repackage them in smaller gift amounts. Pack with wax paper between layers when you store them. They are great taken out of the freezer and nuked for like 25 sec or so till chips are soft. ENJOY!
