1 c. Shortening
3 c. Sugar
4 Beaten eggs
2 c. thick, shopped or grounded cherry-plums
4 c. Flour,
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp.soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add plums then sift dry ingredients. Beat until smooth and fold in nuts. Bake at 350º in large angel food cake ban (well greased) for about one hour.
glaze Boil for1 min 2 tsp. butter 2 tsp Karo syrup and dark rum
