1 German chocolate cake mix
50 unwrapped caramels
1 can evaporated milk
1 bag chocolate chips
½ c. butter

Directions:

Melt caramels with ½ c. evaporated milk on stove or in microwave – set aside
In large bowl mix cake mix, ½ c. melted butter, 1/3 c. evaporated milk. It will be a thick dough. Press one half of dough onto 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Remove from oven. Pour melted caramel mixture over warm cake. Sprinkle Choc chips over crust and caramel. Crumb rest of dough over top of mixture. Return to oven to bake for 15-18 minutes or until caramel edges get brown.
Let cool for several hours (all day) before cutting so caramel can set up.
