1/2 c butter flavored Crisco
3/4 c creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 c firmly packed light brown sugar
3 TBS milk
1 TBS vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Combine shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat a medium speed until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda, mix well. Add to creamed mixture and beat at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with crisscross pattern with a fork. May need to dip fork in flour to prevent sticking. Bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing.
