5 quarts popped corn
2 c. white sugar
1½ c. water
⅓ tsp. salt
½ c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in saucepan to hard ball stage of 265°. Add vinegar and vanilla and cook to 270° (light crack stage). Slowly pour over popped corn in a large kettle or pan. Stir well to coat every kernel. Press into balls. If balls are too sticky, grease hands with a little butter. Makes about 20 popcorn balls.
