2/3 cups butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups flour
¾ cups chopped nuts
Strawberry preserves ( I like raspberry preserves also)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
Add egg yolks, vanilla and salt
Beat well gradually add flour shape into ¼ inch balls dip in beaten egg whites and roll in nuts
Press down center of each cookie place a scant teaspoon of preserves to fill indent.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
