1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 c. water
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting:
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. cocoa powder
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa powder and water in a saucepan. Add shortening and bring to a boil and cool. In a large bowl, blend sugar and eggs together. Add the chocolate mixture to sugar mixture. Combine the remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the chocolate/sugar mixture along with the buttermilk and vanilla. Pour batter into a greased baking sheet pan. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Cool before frosting.

Frosting: Melt butter in the milk. Add the cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla and mix well. Spread over the cake and enjoy!
