½ Cup Butter or Margarine
2 Cups Self Rising Flour
¾ Cup Buttermilk

Cut ½ cup butter into flour with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and need lightly 3-4 times. Roll dough to ¾ inch thickness; cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 425º for 13-15 minutes. Brush with melted butter.
