1 cup water
1 ½ cup flour
2 Tbsp. soft butter
1 pkg dry yeast
1 Tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast and stir in other ingredients.
Beat for 3 minutes.
Add 1¼ cups flour.
Knead until dough loses stickiness.
Let rise in covered glass bowl until doubled in bulk.
Punch down. Divide into 12 pieces.
Roll into 18" lengths and loop into pretzel shapes.
Let rise until doupled.
Have ready a boiling solution of:
4 cups water and 5 Tbsp baking soda
USE A NON ALUMINUM PAN
Lower pretzels into the solution for 1 minute or until they float
Return to WELL greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with coarse salt
Bake at 475º until crispy brown, about 10-12 minutes
