5 c. uncooked egg noodles
2 tsp. butter
4 large eggs
2 c. sour cream
2 c. cottage cheese
1 c. whole milk
¾ c. plus1 ½ teaspoons of sugar, divided
1½ tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
½ tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350º. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and returned to the pan. Toss with butter and set aside. Beat eggs, sour cream, cottage cheese, milk, 3/4 cup sugar, and extracts until well blended. Stir in noodles. Transfer to a 13 by 9-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Combined cinnamon or remaining sugar. Sprinkle over noodles.
Bake, uncovered, until a thermometer reads 160º, for 55 to 60 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Served warm or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.

In Cleveland, we lived in a predominantly Polish/Slavic neighborhood and my grandmother lived with us. My mother's cousin and Aunt lived upstairs. We would bake together around the holidays and everything smelled and tasted wonderful. I still make this today.
