2 pkg. yeast
3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. white flour
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. rye flour
2 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Combine yeast, 1 cup white flour, whole wheat flour and rye flour. Heat milk, brown sugar and salt, stirring until just warm. Add to dry mixture. Beat at low speed for 1/2 minute, scrape bowl often. Beat for 3 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough white flour to make moderately stiff dough. Turn onto floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise until double in bulk - 1 1/2 hours. Punch down - let rise 10 minutes. Shape into 2 loaves. Let rise in pans. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
