Vidalia Onion Pie Recipe

3 large Vidalia Onions
1 stick of butter

Pie crust;
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 tea salt
1/2 cup shorting (Crisco)
3 or 4 tea ice water
1 egg yolk

Filling;
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups sour cream
4 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
dash of nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Add butter to a large saucepan, when butter is melted add onions. Cook until tender, remove from heat .set side . To cool
Mix flour in a bowl add shorting mix well. Add egg yolks and 3 tea of ice water. Mix in to ball.
Place plastic wrap down add dough, add one more pc. of plastic wrap. Roll dough flat. to fit a 9 in pie dish. Place in pie plate , take out all bubbies with a fork.
trim edge.
In a bowl combine eggs, sour cream, flour ,cheese, nutmeg. then add onions back mix well.
Add to pie dish.
bake at 425 for 20 min's
Then 325 for 30 min's
or until set.
