Ingredients:
1 c powdered sugar
1 c sugar
1 c butter
1 c oil
2 eggs (or egg substitute works well for these cookies)

4 c + 4 T flour
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 t cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugars and butter. Add oil, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Chill slightly (I don't usually chill and it is fine). Make walnut size balls. Press with glass dipped in water then sugar (don't press or add sugar if planning to frost later). Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350º for 10 minutes.

May serve plain, ice immediately after removing from oven (will melt into cookie) or wait to cool to ice.
