per 16 ounce bottle:

2 ounces ginger root (approximately 8 inches)
1 vanilla bean
1 c sugar
1.5 c brandy
1.5 c water
zest of 1 orange

Directions:
Directions:
Boil ginger, vanilla, sugar and water for 20 minutes.
Cool, then pour into a corked bottle or lidded jar with orange zest, brandy and water.
Wait at least 48 hours, then strain through a coffee filter into bottle(s)
