1 1/2 lbs round steak
2 T oils
2 T wine vinegar
1 T sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c red wine
5 T soy sauce
1 c water
1 1/2 T cornstarch
2 green peppers, in chunks
2 tomatoes, in chunks
2 onions, in chunks
1/2 lb mushrooms, fresh

Cut round steak in thin strips, brown well in oil. Add vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, water and red wine. Cook over low heat 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add green pepper, mushrooms and onions. Cook 10 minutes. Blend in cornstarch (mix 1 1/2 tablespoons with water to make a smooth liquid. Add tomatoes. Cook 10 minutes longer. Serve over rice.

Note: Please do not over cook your vegetables. The should be tender yet crisp. The meat can be cooked ahead of time and stored in the refridgerator. Heat when ready to use, then add vegetables according to recipe.
