1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 - 1oz. squares unsweetened chocolate, grated
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs beaten
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat one cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup milk and chocolate in double boiler til melted.
Cool.
Stir in shortening to soften.
Gradually add remaining sugar, cream until fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs.
Add flour, salt, soda and 1/2 cup milk.
Add chocolate, mix, beat well.

Bake 350º for 30 - 35 minutes or until center is firm,
