1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups self rising flour
3 to 4 ripe bananas
1 cup chopped nuts (I prefer walnuts)
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together.(I use a hand mixer)

Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.

Bake at 375º for 1 hour.

So this is my moms recipe. She baked it every week and would have it available for anyone who stopped by...she also often took it to her neighbors and people she did business with. This is what we found frozen in her freezer after she died.

This recipe will always be very near and dear to me and my children.
