Ingredients:  
1 9" blind baked pie crust in tempered glass pan
½ cup white sugar
¼ cornstarch
½ tsp fresh ground nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt (⅛ tsp)
6 cups cored, peeled and thinly sliced tarty baking apples (approximately 4-5 medium-sized apples)
1 cup flour
½ brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup butter (114 grams)

Preheat oven to 350ºF
Pie Filling:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
Stir in sliced apples.
Spoon apple slices into pie plate.

Crumb Topping:
Mix together flour and brown sugar
Blend in butter until crumbly (use two knives, pie cutter or my favourite - get your hands dirty)
Sprinkle crumb topping over pie
Bake pie on sheet pan for 1 hour 30 minutes.
