1 ½ cups sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
Dash salt
1 ½ water
3 egg yolks lightly beaten
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup lemon juice (or more according to taste)
2 tsp. grated lemon peel

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Reduce heat, cook and stir additional 2 minutes. Gradually stir in 1 cup of hot filling into egg yolks, return to saucepan. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and butter and peel. Pour into baked pastry shell.
Make meringue (same recipe as sour cream pie)

We all know how much Mom loved chocolate but she sure made a good variety of different pies. After supper when there was dessert you never said you would have dessert later! There was no later, it would be all gone.
