Ingredients: 2 lbs lean ground turkey or beef 2 large onions, chopped 2 hot red chili peppers, seeded and finely chopped 2 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground allspice 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 1 can (28 oz) tomatoes, diced, with juice 1 can (10 oz) condensed tomato soup 2 cans (19 oz) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 2 green peppers, finely chopped

Directions:1. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground turkey/beef, onions and hot peppers until meat is fully cooked and no longer pink. Add chili powder, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg; cook 1 minute longer. With a slotted spon, transfer seasoned meat to a a slow cooker. 2. Add tomatoes (with juice), tomato soup, kidney beans, vinegar and bown sugar; stir to combine. Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or on High for 4 to 6 hours, until hot and bubbling. Add green pepper, stirring to combine Cover and cook another 20 to 25 minutes. |

Notes: Can be assembled 12 hours in advance of cooking (but without adding the green peppers). Follow preparation directions and refridgerate overnight in slow cooker stoneware. The next day, place stoneware in slow cooker and continue cooking as directed.
