Brandy Cream Sauce


Ingredients:

6 eggs
1 qt. half and half or heavy cream
1½ cup sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla ext
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp' nutmeg
½ to 1 loaf bread cubes
( fill your 9 x 13 Pan )

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Butter your Pan
Fill the pan with your bread cubes ( stale bread works really well for this recipe )
In a bowl: whip the eggs and sugar together
then add your half and half or cream, whip together
Add: vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon
Pour over the bread cubes
bake in a water bath for 1 hour
I usually cover it with foil to bake it , uncover it for 10 to 15 min to brown the top
you may add almost any kind of Fruit or nuts
you may also change the flavorings
Rum and Coconut for a pina colada flair
Have fun with it!

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cups brandy, rum or whiskey
1 Pt. heavy cream
1/4 cup water
4 tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
in a heavy sauce pan
Add:sugar, 1 cup water and brandy
Bring to boil; add heavy cream
Bring to a boil
Add cornstarch that has been mixed with 1/4 cup water.
When it is thickened, take off the heat
It is ready to serve
If it comes out too thick, add a little more cream
If it is too thin, add a little more water mixed with cornstarch
