Apple and Cranberry Crisp

cup sugar
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. lemon peel, grated
tsp. lemon juice
5 cups apples, unpeeled, sliced, cored
1 cup cranberries

⅔ cup rolled oats
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
cup whole-wheat flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter, melted

1. Heat oven to 375. Spray a 6 cup baking dish.
2. Prepare filling by combining sugar, flour and lemon peel in medium bowl. Mix well.
3. Add lemon juice, apples and cranberries. Stir to mix.
4. Spoon into baking dish.
5. Prepare topping by combining oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in small bowl.
6. Add butter. Stir to mix.
7. Sprinkle topping over filling. Bake 40 - 50 minutes until filling is bubbly and top is brown.
8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Apple Crisp

6 apples, peeled, sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup butter, melted
cinnamon and nutmeg

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Arrange apples in an ungreased 9" square pan.
3. In medium bowl, whisk sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
4. Add egg and continue mixing using a fork.
5. Place this mixture on top of apples.
6. Pour butter over apple mixture.
7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
8. Bake 25 - 30 minutes, until apples are tender.
9. Serve warm or cold.
