Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 28oz cans crushed tomatoes (set aside a small amount for meatballs)
3 6oz cans tomato paste
3 small cans water (18 oz)
salt & pepper
3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
4 tsp sugar
1 onion
1 bay leaf and lots of dried basil

Mix the ingredients together and simmer in large saucepan for 1½ hours. Add meatballs (recipe below) and simmer for 1 hour longer

1½ Cups bread crumbs
9 Tbsp grated Parmesan
1 lb ground beef
pepper and chopped parsley
2 pieces of tomato saved from sauce
2 eggs

Mix together all ingredients and loosely form into balls. Either bake at 350º for 30 minutes or add to sauce and simmer for 1 hour before serving
