Directions:The secret to Debbi Pasta is that it must be wildly inconsistent; never the same twice. It must be creative and novel without being shocking or outrageous...never boring. Everybody loves Debbi Pasta and nobody really knows why. So... 1. Greet your ingredients with a warm smile 2. Cut stuff into the appropriate shapes 3. Cook the stuff for the appropriate times 4. Take all the cooked stuff out of the pan (oh yeah...use a pan. I forgot to say.) 5. Mix the saucy stuff in the pan 6. Put the stuff back into the pan with all the saucy stuff 7. You should have figured out that step 3 included boiling and draining the pasta. If not, do it now and put it in bowls. You could mix it all together, but then you always have too much pasta and not enough of the saucy stuff and it's terribly disappointing. Also, use plenty of salt in the boiling water. Daddy never puts enough salt when he makes pasta and rice. And he gets mad if I sneak it in. He gives me a look as if to say, "I see what you did. It didn't need any more." And it makes me feel bad. But not bad about the salt because it DID need it. 8. Serve to your eager guests. If you have children, and are using the non-dairy option, make sure you INSIST that nobody has EVER detected a hint of coconuttyness in the flavour. This is a vital step and must be repeated every time. If they say they can taste it, THEY ARE LYING. |

Notes: Nobody else has ever made Debbi pasta successfully before. You'll be the first. I mean, the first besides me. Every pasta I make is Debbi pasta. I guess that's the secret.
Just follow your heart; that's what I do.
