2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp cloves
1/2 cup shortening (room temp)
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/8 sour milk
2 eggs unbeaten

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices.

2. Place shortening in mixing bowl and stir to soften, added sifted dry ingredients and brown sugar. Add 1 cup of the milk and beat 2 minutes.

3. Add eggs and rest of milk.

Bake at 375 25 to 30 minutes.
