Crock-Pot Beef Stroganoff Recipe

1 to 3 lbs. round, sirloin, or tenderloin steak ( 1/2 in. thick)
1/2 cup flour
1 clove garlic
2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/2 t. dry mustard
1 large onion
8 oz. fresh or canned mushrooms
1 - 10 1/2 oz. can beef broth
1/4 cup dry white or red wine(optional) see substitutions below
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1/4 cup flour
3 T. parsley

Hot buttered noodles or cooked rice

Trim fat from steak and cut meat into strips. Combine 1/2 cup flour, garlic, salt. pepper, dry mustard. Toss with steak strips to coat thoroughly. Place steak strips in crock pot, stir in onion, parsley and mushrooms. Add beef broth and wine, stir well. Cover and cook on low for 8 hrs.

Before serving, combine 1/4 cup flour with sour cream, stir into crock pot. Serve over noodles or rice.

Cranberry Juice. Cranberry juice is a tart beverage that makes an excellent red wine substitute
