2 lbs. white potatoes
4-6 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. half and half
1 c. cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 chopped yellow onion
1 clove of garlic minced
3 tbsp. chopped parsley
Worcestershire sauce
unbaked pie crust

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Peel and cube potatoes. Cook until tender in unsalted water. Drain and mash quickly with butter, salt, pepper and about 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese. Beat until fluffy thinning with half and half. Set aside.
In a skillet saute ground meat until it loses its pinkness. Add chopped onion and garlic continue to saute until oinions are clear. Add pepper, salt and worstershire sauce (to taste). Cook for a few minutes. Transfer meat mixture to unbaked pie crust.
Spread mashed potatoes on top of meat mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes. Last 10 minutes sprinkle remaining cheese on top and finish cooking.
