1 9" - pie crust
1 cup - bacon, cooked & crumbled
1 15oz can - condensed clam chowder soup
4 - eggs, beaten
½ cup - finely chopped onion
½ cup - sour cream
2 tsp. - parsley flakes
¼ tsp. - pepper
4 - slices American cheese

- Preheat oven to 400º F

In a large pan fry the bacon till crispy. Remove from pan, dab off excess grease, and crumble. Optional: Sauté onions in left over bacon grease till soft.

Line pie dish with pie shell and prick with a fork. Bake crust for 8 minutes and then remove from oven. Reduce oven heat to 325º F.

In a bowl combine the bacon, chowder, eggs, onions, sour cream, parsley, and pepper. Mix well. Pour ⅔ of the mixture into the pie shell and arrange the cheese on top. Pour the remaining mixture on top.

Bake 50-55 minutes or till set. Let cool for 20 minutes before serving.
