4 cans of sauerkraut
1 ½ lb fresh cabbage
1 large bag of lima beans and split peas
3-4 bags of dry imported mushrooms
1 stick butter
1 onion
flour for thickening

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the beans and peas the day before. Put sauerkraut in pot and wash off a little. Cut cabbage and cook for ½ hr. Put in mushrooms. When cabbage is almost cooked mash the lima beans and split peas. Put in and mix well. Cook about 2 hrs. or more. Make thickening with 1 stick of butter, 1 onion and flour and add to soup. Stir well
