1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground clove
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oil, sugar, eggs, and molasses together well. Add raisins and chopped nuts. Stir together remaining ingredients and add to other mixture. Mix well. Chill for several hours. Roll a rounded teaspoonful of dough in additional granulated sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10-12 minutes at 350º. Makes about 8 dozen. Dough keeps well refrigerated for 1 week when tightly covered.
