FAMILY STORY - NEW KIND OF FRUIT CAKE

Gary Lobe says he used to help his Mom, Ruth, a lot on the farm. He says that fruit cakes were one dessert he didn't care for, until one time his Mom forgot to get the candied fruit. He told her why not use canned fruit. She did. The fruit cakes turned moist and tasted a lot better. So from then on it was canned fruit, and there were no more leftovers!
