4 qts dry popcorn, popped
1½ c M&Ms
1 c gum drops, small or large, cut up
1 c dry roasted peanuts, whole
1 lb marshmallows
½ c oil (Crisco, Wesson, etc.)
½ cube butter or margarine
Directions:
Directions:
Mix popcorn, gumdrops, M&Ms and peanuts in a large 2 to 3 gallon bowl. Melt oil, butter/margarine and marshmallows in double boiler or 2-qt pan. Pour over popcorn mix and stir quickly. Press tightly into angel food pan. To pop corn: ⅓ cup corn in a microwave makes 2-qt popped corn.

FAMILY STORY - GARY OFTEN MAKES THIS CAKE

Gary Lobe doesn't remember where his mom, Ruth, got this recipe. It was (and still is) a mainstay for Christmas and other holidays. It wasn't very long after he and Cathy were married that Gary started making them for Christmas presents. Soon he was making them for just about all holidays. Gary would use different colored M&M's to coordinate with the holiday.
