¾ cup popcorn (measured unpopped)
1 stick butter
1 cup light brown sugar
¼ cup light Karo syrup
¼ teaspoon soda

Directions:
Directions:
Pop corn. Put aside. Mix butter, sugar and Karo in a sauce pan. Let boil 3 minutes and add soda. Stir well. Remove from stove; pour over popped corn, stirring to coat all corn. Turn out on two greased cookie sheets or jelly roll pans. Let bake for 2 hours at 200°. Store in a tight container in a cool place. If kept in the refrigerator it will last many weeks, so it can be made well ahead of time.

This recipe was given to me by a good friend, Ruby Cheek, who made "Caramel Popcorn" regularly for her husband, children and grandchildren. Folks of all ages enjoy it.

Ruby noted: "This is wonderful to munch on as is; but it's nothing short of perfect if you add Yates apples and a big fire!"
