Ingredients:
Ingredients:
26 oz.dates (easiest to get pitted)
walnuts (enough to stuff each date)
1/2 lb. Softened Cream Cheese
1/4 lb. Softened Butter
2c. Flour
1 egg
1tsp. almond extract (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Stuff each pitted date with a 1/2 to 1/4 of a walnut

Blend cream cheese, butter, flour, extract.
Set dough in the refrigerator 10-15 minutes

Remove. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or flour and roll out the dough. Cut in squares and fold over a pitted date. Brush with a beaten egg and bake at 375º for 15-18 minutes.

NOTE: When wrapping the date, mold the dough over and around the date. If you leave gaps after baking, the dough will split from the date which doesn't look too pretty!
