7 cups flour
2 cups suet ground (substitute with shortening)
Water
Peeled and cubed potatoes
Onion, chopped
Meat (beef that's been cubed, ground beef, lamb, etc)
Salt & Pepper
other seasonings to your liking

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and suet/shortening and water to form a ball. Roll dough into 1/2" thickness.
In the center of the dough add the potatoes, onion and meat then season with salt, pepper etc..
Pull the two sides together and fold, pinching the edges together.
Bake at 250 degrees for about three hours.

Pasty is an old english poor family meal. If you can get the dough right, they're really good!
