1⅔ c sugar
1 c shortening or butter
2 eggs
2 T sweet milk
1 t vanilla
½ t salt
1 t soda
1 t baking powder
2½ to 3 c flour
½ c currants and walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Roll into ball and press with fork. Bake golden brown about 10 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Those were the only directions given. My guess is to cream sugar and shortening or butter. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix well. Mix in salt, soda, baking powder, and flour. Gently add in currants and walnuts. With hands, roll spoonfuls of dough into one inch balls, place on cookie sheet, and press with fork.
