Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Recipe

2 lbs. medium/thick asparagus
1 lb. bacon (hickory smoked is recommended)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F.
Divide the asparagus into groups of four stalks each, about 10 groups in all.
Wrap one piece of bacon around middle of each bundle, spiraling it up slightly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and place bundles in skillet, turning until outside of bacon is fairly crisp on all sides.
Transfer bundles to a baking sheet.
Combine olive oil, paprika and pepper in a small bowl.
Brush the exposed asparagus tips and bottoms with the seasoned olive oil.
Roast for about 8 minutes, until bacon is fully crisp and asparagus is tender.
