3 qt water
1 qt vinegar
1 c salt - pickling and canning
dill
garlic
pimento
alum
cucumbers

Directions:
Directions:
Wash pickles. Cut off ends and cut into quarters or slices. Pack in jar. Put dill head or dill seal in bottom wit onion slices and clove of garlic and pimento. Add ½ tsp of alum to each qt jar.

Bring ingredients to a boil and pour over pickles.

I set my jars of pickles in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes to heat them up before I put the lids on. You can also put them in a pressure cooker.
