5 ounces onions, cooked
5 ounces lettuce, grape tomatoes, grated carrots, etc.
½ cup tomato sauce
4 ounces prepared starch (i.e. rice, quinoa, beans)*
2 tbsp. low-calorie Ranch dressing -or your fat allotment

Directions:

Place measured salad "fixings" into serving dish for one. Top with starch of choice.

Mix meat, onions and tomato sauce together. Place atop salad/starch.

Top all with dressing.

1 salad = 3 oz. protein, 4 oz. starch, 10 oz. vegetables, 1 fat, 1 condiment.

*Modify this recipe according to your protein, fat and starch allotments by adjusting the amount of meat and starch.

Recipe can also be made using meat substitutes.
