1 (16 ounce) can pitted sour red pie cherries
1 cinnamon stick
1½ tsp cornstarch
½ C cold water
1½ Tbsp white sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
½ C sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Place cherries and their liquid in medium saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick. In a small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water; mix well. Whisk the cornstarch mixture into saucepan. Heat to boiling point, reduce heat to medium-low and cook 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. Take out the cinnamon stick and puree with sour cream, lemon juice and sugar. Chill well and serve in chilled cups.
