Ingredients:
1 quart heavy cream
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 c sugar (goes in the cream)
6 large egg yolks
Hot water (enough to pour in a pan for water bath)
1/2 c sugar to sprinkle over the baked brulee

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1/2 c sugar and egg yolks until well blended and it starts to lighten just a little. Add the cream a little at a time, stirring continually. Pour the liquid in 6 (7-8 oz. ramekins or casserole dish). Place in a roasting pan. Pour enough water into the pan to come halfway up the sides. Bake just until creme brulee is set,but still trembling in the center. Approximately 45 minutes for ramekins ,about an hour or so for casserole dish.
3. Remove from the roasting pan and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 3 days. Remove the creme brulee from the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to browning the sugar on top.. Sprinkle the sugar over the top and melt the sugar and form a crispy top.
